The results are in!

Edlyn passed her IFT! And is now in harness training! Yay!!!

I was totally blown away at how well Edlyn did! I'll be honest, there were good days and bad days with her, sometimes she seemed so worried and stressed and other days she seemed like the most confident pup! And today was one of those days that she showed off how confident she could be! :) She did like the harness, but that was it! So she is off to training and hopefully in July I will be attending her graduation. :) I'm so proud of you Edlyn!!!

Edlyn is at the Training School now, but one last month day had to be posted! Happy 15 months Edlyn girl!

A visit with Eden :)

Well, I said good bye to Edlyn today and then right after that I got to say hello to Eden! I had a wonderful visit with her and was so happy to see her! :)

Drop off and Flashback Friday

Well, Edlyn is now in the kennel in Yorktown. I may not have cried, but my heart is still broken. So to my dear, sweet, Edlyn I have this for you.

To the puppy that no one wanted, but I fell in love with and wasn't suppose to keep, but ended up finishing, thank you.

Thank you for teaching me how important it is to remember that not every one (or every dog) is the same.

Thank you for teaching me to take time to do things slowly and stop and smell the roses. 

Thank you for teaching me that there's always time to show love to others.

And most importantly, thank you for being that puppy I could always count on to come and snuggle with me and hold me when I cried.

I'll miss you, but now you're off to do great things and show someone else what it means to be loved by a four legged dog.

Today is Edlyn's last day with me. She came to work with me and actually did very well. This was probably the first time she didn't seem super stressed which made me happy. :)

Well as things happen at times, Almond was retired from being a breeder. Due to some genetic risks, they decided to retire her before they had bred her. The good news is she will be heading into harness training! :) 

With Almond leaving, I still wanted to foster a brood, so enter Julia. :) Julia has already been bred (to a handsome black lab named Joe) and was in need of a foster ASAP. So I have welcomed her into my home. She is a real sweetheart and gets along great with my two. I am happy to have her!
