Edlyn Month Day!

Edlyn is 3 months today! :)

Here are 3 things at 3 months:
1. She's pretty calm
2. She likes the snow, but doesn't like the cold
3. She is one smart cookie!

Paula's IFT!

Well, my girl passed with flying colors and is now in training. Let the wait for a training report each month begin. 

Introducing....

Well... it happened. hahaha Edlyn is coming home with me to start for a few months. :) I'm so excited to be doing this again with puppy number 9! :) :) :) :)

Dropping off Paula

Paula had a pretty great last day. She came to work with me and in the early morning played with Maestro and Heaven in the exercise yard. Then she ran with Maestro, Heaven, Brook, and Kate in the BDA. And then had a play time in the exercise yard again, but with Pakse. :) We had lunch and then headed to the Training School.

Her room mates are Charlene and Doris. I miss her so much, but a nice foster of Cosmo invited Emmaline and I over for brownies which helped and then I had a fun night talking to another person staying in the GH about all sorts of GEB stuff so that helped. :) Now to wait for Tuesday!

Tomorrow.... :(

Well, tomorrow is the day..... Paula will be dropped off at the Training School at about 1PM. Drop off is going to be..... hard. I'll be honest, Paula was one tough cookie. Her stubborn personality didn't always mesh with mine and she had issues sometimes and made me frustrated, but you know, she turned into one mighty fine, well behaved, mellowed out, mature dog. And I am so attached to her. I didn't think I was, but I am and I'm going to miss her terribly. She's made me cry more then any of my other pups. From the middle of the night seizures, to a possible medical release, to tears of happiness because she was given another chance to be a guide dog. It's just been one huge roller coaster, you know like that big roller coaster at Darien Lake, the Superman..... Even though she had a crazy personality, she had another side, a side that forced any person who met her and got to know her, love her and never want to say goodbye. There was something special about this dog, I don't know what it is, but there's something. And she is destine to change someones life. Whether if she's suppose to be a guide for a visually impaired person, a bomb sniffer dog for ATF or CT Police, a companion for an autistic child, or a cherished family pet who has been waiting for a dog for three years, she will bless and make that person laugh every.single.day. Paula, I'm going to miss you SO incredibly much, and I can't wait to get Training Reports each month and see you graduate in July! Love you sweet baby!!!
